At the beginning of time Wu Yin fluttered in the dream valley of the black void.  She was like a beautiful dark hand of five fingers and at the tips of her fingers the eyes of the five elements glistened and her palm was the red lotus blossom.

For eons and eons she moved gracefully unbalanced and directionless on the river of time until a petal of her blossom floated free.  The petal transformed into her brother Wu Yang.  He was bright and handsome the opposite hand to herself with five eyes of the elements as the tips of his fingers and a golden eyed serpent in his palm.  Together they viewed the empty void, his orange scented light and her musky darkness.

Then one day their fingers brushed and lightning filled the void.  They had found passion and could not deny each other.  They touched each other and the elements combined fire and earth and metal and wood and water.  The serpent pierced the lotus blossom and the lotus blossom consumed the serpent. And they lay together fingers on palm and palm on fingers and two were one and one were two and became Taijitu.

Aftertime the lotus seeds created from love fell from the void and all things came to be formed by the union of the five elements and held in perfect fluid balance for all eternity.
