Two conversant friends travel the forest path
Stumble and overturn a rock
Laugh in joined glee with the yellow spotted salamander

Two seekers climb the mountain
Trust each others firm grip of stone
And rely in the safety of each other
Share tea in the first light vision of morning 

Such is, we are 

Two great beasts take the yoke to lessen the burden
Conquer more than as one
Transcend to mystic dragons flying endlessly
Side by side around the callioped carousel 

Such is, we are 

Two sit in contemplation on sea’s shore
Dance without fear in lengthening shadow
One sunset for both
One shared meal feeds two 

Such is, we are 

Two candle flames are joined
Burn twice as bright
And mute the character of night
Entwined two dreams
Become one 

Such is, we are 

That is yesterday
That is today
That is tomorrow
To be as such
Are we
