Just a Man
With no redeeming feature
but poverty
a wordsmith consumed
boils his beans
on an open dry fire

In an Indian squat
heel and sole
he openly tells his tale of boldness
twists and turns of meaningful words

His heart to be captured
in books and tomes?
his pay for life after death
his poems the man

A dry fire
made with found scribbled scraps
release spirit to smoke and wind
no artist just a man
